Lym Architecture has worked extensively with the Austin Independent School District's Department of Construction Management and completed renovation projects at several local campuses. We have completed over 20 planning, programming, feasibility, renovation, remodeling and expansion projects that impact over 15 different academic and support buildings on the UT Austin campus. In addition to our recently completed campus renovation projects, other examples of current and past work include the LEED Platinum $9.5M Ronald McDonald House Charities at Austin’s Dell Children’s Hospital completed in 2008, programming and design for a $2.5M University of Texas Sanger Learning and Career Center Expansion that is currently seeking development funds, and a $1.85M Violet Crown downtown theater project in the core of downtown Austin.

With a background that includes construction, engineering, and architecture, Lym brings over 15 years of experience in the building industry to his projects. Lym’s professional career includes employment with RNL Design, HCBeck, BOKA Powell, and Carter & Burgess and affiliation with Barnes Gromatzky Kosarek Architects, FKP Architects, Casabella and Eckols and Associates. His project experience varies widely and includes involvement in award-winning projects. Project types include urban design and regional planning, feasibility and accessibility studies, interior design, and architectural design. His experience includes civic, corporate, commercial, industrial, hospitality and institutional projects with budgets ranging up to $62. Building upon experience with large commercial and institutional firms, Lym Architecture opened its doors in 2003 and has since developed a robust practice with institutional and commercial projects serving Austin and Central Texas.

The bulk of Stites’ career has been devoted to the management of complex educational projects ranging from preliminary bond planning and budget forecasting to construction management and project closeout. Having acted as a project architect and project manager for SHW Group, BLGY, and Pfluger Associates, Stites has built a strong rapport with district administrators, coaching and instructional staff, facilities and grounds management, and purchasing personnel that allows him to balance the diverse needs of the client. Over the last decade he has the managed over $200 million in construction value working with a broad range of contractors and subcontractors in projects ranging from renovations and additions of occupied facilities to green field 400,000 square foot high school complexes.
